CUSTOMER: Barberán, S.A., woodworking machinery manufacturer
CONTEXT: 40 m line that laminates and forms the laminated wood parts of kitchen cabinets, such as drawer fronts with an integrated J-pull handle. Boards up to 2 × 4 m, decorative PVC film.
PROCESS: Alignment → gap separation and synchronisation between boards → bottom laminating with automatic roll change → trimming of excess → top laminating with gluing and automatic roll change → forming and trimming → inspection → flying saw synchronised with the axis, which cuts each board back to its original size.
CHALLENGE: Moving from station-based machines to a continuous process, tracking every board along 40 m with synchronised axes.
SCOPE: PLC programming.
